Highlights | Dominating the landscape since pre-modern times, Wat Phnom or "Mountain Pagoda" is a striking Buddhist temple at Phnom Penh's central point. Built over 645 years ago, this ancient temple is the tallest religious structure in the city. In homage to this ancient and revered temple, we provide all guests with a Lotus flower blossom which you can place in the temple. |

The Local Market
Days could easily be spent wandering around the covered markets in a dozen different locations in Phnom Penh.
For your custom tour, you can choose from 1 to 8 hours of shopping, and even schedule an hour or two break in-between for lunch.
(note: to book a multiple hour shopping trip, please add each hour separately. Your tour will be combined into a single “custom” tour. Also, please note that all Custom tours have a 2 hour minimum).
With tens of thousands of shops, some no bigger than a broom closet, this city has an eclectic collection of vendors dealing wares including Cambodian handicrafts, souvenirs, lacquer-ware, puppets, jewelry, clothing, wood and faux ivory carvings, tapestries, silverware, brassware, silk and cotton fabrics, clothing, hardware, food, and much much more!
Budget conscious people will find the best bargains at the markets we have selected. And while haggling is expected, your guide will be your negotiator and translator.
Brand-name products can be found, many very reasonably priced especially if there was some flaw during the manufacturing process. For example, clothing with improper labeling ends up at the local markets where it is sold for much less than at retail outlets.
Unique everyday items, those that the locals use, are inexpensive and make for an interesting souvenir.
Some market areas have multiple floors with different areas selling different goods such as packaged food, beverages, and even pets. Upper floors typically sell made-on-site products, fashions and household goods.

When to come?
Anytime is a good time to visit Cambodia but most people prefer to visit during the dry season, from November to April, with the “cool season” of November to February being particularly pleasant. However, prices tend to be higher around this busy period.
What to bring?
Pack lightweight, breathable clothing, comfortable shoes, Insect repellent and sunscreen. For day tours it is a good idea to wear light clothes that cover your skin, they will keep you cool and protect you from the sun.
